A campaign bus, which is spending the year travelling across Europe to promote disability issues, will come to Britain and visit a range of disability events.
Ben Furner of Furner Communications, which is promoting the year, said it was important that the bus has a broader reach, and will also attend events such the Epsom races.
FC was appointed last year to handle the event in the UK, reporting to the Europe-wide lead agency, Ogilvy.
This month, Furner has carried out media training for those involved in disability groups as part of the year of campaigning. Those to benefit have included vice-chair of the Disabled Parents Network Simone Baker.
As part of the year, a range of national and local projects for disabled people will take place. Around £1.5m in grants have been made available through UK government and EC funding.
