Kitty Robinson joined this week as a senior consultant after two years at crisis shop Regester Larkin. She previously spent seven years as a producer and reporter for BBC current affairs, followed by four years at 5 Live as output editor.
Although Robinson has a background in crisis management, the Blue Rubicon job requires her to fulfil various roles, she said. These are to include the agency's work on telecoms new entrant Hutchinson 3G.
Fellow recruit Simon Pritchett joins after four years at the Department for Education and Skills, where he established the DfES's rapid response and rebuttal PR capability. His new role includes the agency's McDonald's account, which is designed to improve the tarnished image of the 'McJobber' (PRWeek, 7 March 2002).
