INTERNATIONAL: Citigate appoints new comms boss for Chinese office

HONG KONG: Citigate Dewe Rogerson has hired former Gavin Anderson and Co Singapore director Julian Wilson as its new Hong Kong and China head of corporate communications, a post that was previously held by Charlotte Bilney.

Bilney retains the role of advisory director while scaling down her working week in preparation for her impending maternity leave.

Meanwhile, parent group Incepta has renegotiated the final earn-out deal for its New York IR firm Sard Verbinnen, following unease among investors over share dilution.

Incepta, headed by CEO Richard Nichols, has agreed to pay £8m in cash and 60 million shares rather than an all-share deal, which was first agreed as part of the takeover in 2000.

Sard directors, who received an initial payment of £36.6m in cash and shares in 2000, have also signed tie-in contacts for another three years.
