Engine MHP has made two senior appointments to its financial services team following what it called a "period of rapid growth" in the division.

Dan Pike joins Engine MHP as a director from the Royal Institution of Chartered Surveyors (RICS), where he was global communications lead. Prior to RICS, Pike was a director at financial services specialist Teamspirit.

Another former Teamspirit executive, Kate Cunningham, has joined MHP as an associate director. She was formerly a financial reporter at the Daily Express and Sunday Express.

MHP said its financial services arm won three new accounts in January: a brief to support UK fintech firm Curve on its successful Series C fundraising, and two retained clients – investment group Reech Corporation Group and cryptocurrency infrastructure provider MoonPay.

Engine MHP head of financial services Nick Woods, who joined last April from Instinctif, said: "I’m delighted that Dan and Kate have joined our team at such an exciting time. Both bring with them a wealth of experience and a proven track record of developing award-winning campaigns that help clients tell bigger, bolder and more relevant stories. We’ve made two first-class senior hires that will further support and accelerate our impressive growth."

The agency, which is part of the Engine group, has announced changes to its senior team in other divisions in recent months, including a restructure of its public affairs team last month and a trio of additions to its healthcare arm in the autumn.
