SPAG has named Farah Zuber as business director in Malaysia, a little over six months after it announced its expansion in Southeast Asia including Malaysia, Indonesia, The Philippines, and Thailand. Zuber, who has more than a decade's worth of experience in integrated comms and reputation management, will aid the agency in growing its footprint in Malaysia.
Zuber most recently served as associate director at Edelman where she spent fours years, and prior to that, she spent time at Arc Worldwide and Ogilvy PR. Her experience lies in developing brand awareness and reputation for homegrown and multinational companies from various sectors, namely digital and technology, oil & gas, energy, telecommunications, healthcare and life-science, and property and development. At SPAG, she aims to focus on the consumer and tech sector while leveraging on the firm's specialities in healthcare and medical.
"In my view, SPAG Malaysia's positive start is a testament of the network's commitment to understanding local businesses, sectors, and stakeholders. We understand how the market works; therefore, we can create bespoke solutions that meet our clients' business objectives," said Zuber.
In the Philippines, Epifannie Gonzales has been brought on as associate account director. She will work closely with SPAG regional head Priyanka Bajpai on growing the firm in the nation. Gonzales brings many years of experience in PR, account management, and media relations.
Aman Gupta, co-founder and managing partner at SPAG, said that the company is eyeing expansion into Taiwan and Vietnam following three-fold growth in India in 2020. The firm is set to penetrate Europe and the US in 2025.
