NEW YORK: W2O has hired Stephanie Agresta for the newly created role of SVP of marketing and communications.

Her first day at the network was Monday. Agresta is based in New York and is reporting to CMO Aaron Strout with a dotted line to Wendy Carhart, global head of employee engagement and corp comms.

Agresta started working as a consultant for W2O shortly after leaving DiGennaro Communications last October. She was SVP of client service and business development at the firm.

W2O’s growth is a reason the agency created the role and one of the reasons she decided to join the agency, Agresta said.

Agresta’s hire is the latest senior addition at W2O, which last month brought on former Omnicom Health Group chief digital officer Jo Ann Saitta as global chief digital officer; Larry Mickelberg as group president for technology and engagement; and Marcos Mendell as EVP of health platform innovation.

W2O has acquired nine companies since it partnered with equity firm New Mountain Capital in 2019, most recently Swoop and last month.

The network’s revenue grew 25% to $222 million in 2019, according to PRWeek’s Agency Business Report 2020.

Before DiGennaro, Agresta was global director of enterprise growth for Qnary, a technology-based workforce-advocacy company. She is also cofounder of the Virago Group, a strategic advisory counseling project for women entrepreneurs and female-founded technology startups.

Agresta has also worked at agencies MSL, Weber Shandwick and Porter Novelli.
