PLMR managing director steps down

PLMR managing director Elin de Zoete is leaving the public affairs agency after 12 years to join a Jamie Oliver-backed organisation fighting childhood obesity.

De Zoete (pictured) will become a director at Bite Back 2030, focusing on operational growth and corporate and government relations.

She gave more details about the role in a LinkedIn post:

Kevin Craig, founder and chief executive of PLMR, said: “Elin has made an enormous contribution to PLMR’s success. So many colleagues across our business are grateful for her positive impact on their careers and personal development. She is one of the outstanding communications professionals of her generation and I am proud and grateful to have worked with her for these past 12 years.

“As Elin moves on, our business could not be in a stronger position. In 2019/20 the PLMR Group achieved a record income of £6m, and we are continuing on this growth trajectory. The leadership of the business is in great hands, with Tim Knight and Ollie Lane well established as joint managing directors, and a strong Board, which also includes Rebekah Paczek, Mo Hussein, and Najet Geel.

"In the past year, we have appointed Gavin Devine to the Board, bringing his extensive experience of agency leadership, and in the coming months we will be adding further expertise in the wake of Elin’s departure. I am also very excited about the next generation of talent in the business."
