BEAVERTON, OR: Nike is seeking a global senior director to lead enterprise narrative and diversity and inclusion communications.
Working with Nike's communications team, the hire will serve as the communications leader for the company's chief diversity and inclusion officer and team, according to a job ad.
The role will work with executive leadership across departments including investor relations, corporate governance, risk management, government affairs and legal to strengthen the company's purpose areas of diversity and inclusion, community and sustainability.
The position will develop internal and external communications for the D&I team with the goal of engaging employees and consumers by driving Nike's overall corporate narrative.
A Nike representative was not immediately available for comment.
Hiring for the position is timely in light of last year's racial inequality protests and Nike's previous lawsuits alleging gender discrimination.
