Amid the pandemic, dating habits and trends have changed dramatically.

Online dating has taken center stage and OkCupid’s global comms and PR manager Michael Kaye sat down to discuss trends on the platform, how the pandemic has impacted member profiles and comms plans moving forward to Valentine’s Day.

Kaye also talked about how the vaccine has added a new tagline to many profiles, and how users are handling pandemic guidelines.

“[Our users are] taking the pandemic extremely seriously,” he said. “Hundreds of thousands of people said they would cancel a date with someone who didn’t want to social distance date or weren’t willing to wear a mask. And coming into 2021, now the vaccine is more available, getting vaccinated has become the hottest thing you can do on a dating app.”
