NEW YORK: LLYC has named Juan Felipe Muñoz as U.S. CEO.
He is replacing Carlos Correcha-Price, who left to become chief communications officer and CMO for COVID-19 at-home test manufacturer eMed Digital Healthcare. Correcha-Price joined LLYC in April 2020 from Edelman, where he was GM of Edelman Colombia and Edelman Miami and led the agency’s Latin America public affairs practice.
Correcha-Price replaced Mike Fernandez, who left LLYC for energy infrastructure company Enbridge last March after a year and a half at the firm.
Muñoz, who is based in New York, started in the role on Monday, reporting to partner and CEO of the Americas Alejandro Romero.
Muñoz is managing 26 staffers across LLYC’s offices in New York, Miami and Washington, DC, and is charged with growing the firm’s presence in the U.S.
Muñoz previously worked for management consultancy Britten and was an image adviser and media relations consultant in the cabinet of Colombian President Juan Manuel Santos, LLYC said in a statement.
Last year, LLYC purchased Colombian consulting firm Adaptative, which provides proprietary research, design and implementation services for communications, marketing and public affairs projects.
