Pitch Update: Vision Express, E.ON, Pilgrims, IRIS, Marley Coffee and more

PRWeek's weekly round-up of pitches and account moves.

IRIS Software has appointed Octopus Group to support it with media and influencer relations, social media and content as it pursues its UK and international growth strategy. Octopus Group has been tasked with helping IRIS develop clear positioning across its target sectors and increase awareness and engagement with its audience groups, including accountancy firms, finance professionals, HR and leaders in the education sector.

British food producer Pilgrim's has appointed Citypress as its retained communications consultancy. The company, which used to be known as Tulip, is one of the biggest producers of higher welfare pork and supplies most of the major supermarkets. Citypress has been tasked with building Pilgrim's corporate reputation in the UK by demonstrating its investment in sustainability, animal welfare, innovation and people, as well as the contribution it makes to the British agricultural sector.

Vision Express has hired The Fourth Angel as its consumer PR consultancy. The brief covers promoting the brand’s practitioner and fashion credentials, as well as its eye health campaigns and CSR initiatives. The appointment follows a review of all Vision Express marketing and comms partners. Senior consultant Becky Westaway is leading the account team with the consultancy’s cultural strategist, Alex McDonald.

Energy supplier E.ON has reappointed Engine Creative, awarding it a brief to help the business reposition its brand as it shifts towards more sustainable energy solutions.

IBC – an events and online community for the media, entertainment and technology industries – has appointed Platform Communications as its comms partner. Platform will support IBC with an integrated strategic communications program, including content creation, media relations and sales enablement. The appointment follows a project to launch the all-digital IBC Showcase event in September 2020.

Palm has been appointed by dairy company Daioni Organic to deliver an integrated PR, influencer, social media and digital advertising campaign to support the brand in growing sales and distribution. The campaign will focus on educating the market about Daioni Organic’s products, including fresh and long-life organic milk and a range of coffee and flavoured milk drinks.

London's King Edward VII’s hospital has appointed Third City as its retained PR agency following a competitive pitch process. The remit involves brand-building activity covering news generation, thought leadership, influencer relations and partnerships, communicating to the medical community and patients. Third City has been tasked with championing the hospital’s use of technology and innovation in areas including women’s health, urology, digestive health and musculoskeletal services.

Oddbox, a fruit and veg box service designed to reduce food waste by delivering cosmetically imperfect and surplus produce to consumers, is looking for a PR agency to support it across a broad comms remit.

Marley Coffee has partnered Rooster PR to build brand and product awareness and help drive sales in the UK. Rooster has worked on an integrated PR, social media and ecommerce programme for the international brand, targeting UK coffee-lovers of all ages and focusing on expert tips and lifestyle content, the brand story, sustainability credentials, and product quality.

Finn Partners Global Travel & Lifestyle Group has been appointed as the agency of record for CV Villas. The agency will be responsible for implementing the specialist holiday company's strategic PR programme across the UK market. Tasked with growing CV Villas' trade business and showcasing the benefits of villa stays, Finn Partners will promote its most recent product launches and initiatives, including the rebranding of its luxury Above properties.

Capita Scaling Partner, a business unit within the FTSE250-listed company Capita, has hired Element Communications for a PR and communications brief. Element Communications is supporting financial health platform Level and augmented reality firm London Dynamics, delivering multichannel campaigns including media relations, social media management and influencer relations.

Digital Trails has won three retained PR and SEO briefs. They are SmartCover, a European reusable face mask brand; Bravo Voucher, an online shopping platform; and relationships and life coach business Tantric Academy.

PrettyLittleThing, part of the Boohoo group, has appointed Rise at Seven as its retained search and digital PR agency to support growth plans across UK and US markets. The account was awarded to Rise at Seven without a pitch as PLT wanted a disruptive approach to digital PR and search, along with a creative plan to encourage aggressive growth online.

Bywater Properties has appointed Carousel to launch Northstar, its new workspace in Manchester's Northern Quarter. Carousel will manage media relations for the brand, launching the office space with a series of virtual and in-person events and partnerships that showcase the building and spaces. In addition, Carousel has been hired to manage Northstar’s social media channels.

Cavendish Advocacy has been appointed as public affairs adviser to the Calouste Gulbenkian Foundation’s UK branch, following a competitive pitch. The foundation is leading a citizen engagement on climate to build a public mandate for tackling climate change.

Nobull Comms has been appointed to handle social media and influencer relations for pet food brand AATU.

Luxury fine jewellers Robinson Pelham has appointed Maria Boyle Communications to handle its UK PR. The brief involves showcasing the jeweller’s signature collections and new lines as they launch.

Roc Nation Sports has revealed its new football recruits. The agency will represent Billy Gee (who plays for Chelsea), Ilyès Zouaoui and Aylan Benyahia (Olympique de Marseille), Jadan Raymond (Crystal Palace), Bradley Ibrahim (Arsenal), Finlay Corrigan (Ipswich Town), Noham Abdellaoui (St Etienne), Alfie McNally (Fulham) and Albie Armin (Ipswich Town). Roc Nation Sports, which also represents Premier League stars Marcus Rashford and Kevin De Bruyne, has also appointed Alan Redmond as head of football.
