BCW picks Kristena Lucky to lead brand solutions practice

She’d worked at Edelman since 2012.

DALLAS: BCW has hired Kristena Lucky as EVP and brand solutions practice lead for North America.

Lucky started in the role on Wednesday, based in Dallas. Reporting to BCW president of North America Chris Foster, Lucky will be responsible for leading and growing the practice across the region.

Thomas Bunn had been leading brand solutions as well as integrated solutions, but he has shifted to heading integrated solutions, including research, strategy, analytics and performance, according to an agency spokesperson.

She was not available for comment about her new role.

Lucky has joined BCW from Edelman, where she worked for nine years, most recently as EVP and brand strategist for the firm’s U.S. brand practice. Previously, Lucky was EVP and head of brand for Edelman’s Southwest region.

An Edelman representative was not immediately available for comment.

Earlier in her career, Lucky worked at Chicago-based Burrell Communications as VP and group account director for engagement marketing and as a marketing manager at Accenture.

Last October, BCW brought on Lauren Glazer for the newly created role of chief brand officer. Former global president of brand solutions Jim Joseph left the WPP firm last August to become North America president of McCann Health, and ex-global chief strategy and operations officer Ben Boyd exited BCW in October 2020to join home improvement retailer Lowe’s as VP of internal and external communications.

BCW’s revenue was up 1% in 2019 to $720 million, according to PRWeek’s Agency Business Report 2020
