MIAMI: COVID-19 at-home test manufacturer eMed Digital Healthcare has hired LLYC’s Carlos Correcha-Price as chief communications officer and CMO.

Correcha-Price, who was hired as LLYC’s U.S. CEO last March, announced the move on his LinkedIn page Tuesday.

“In life, there are very few opportunities worth jumping all in for and this one is it for me,” he explained in his post about the move. “I fell in love with eMed's mission the first time I heard of it by its leadership and the work we are doing could not be more important. I had to come in and be a part of it.”

Correcha-Price did not immediately respond to requests for comment about his move.

“[Correcha-Price] has been an excellent CEO for our U.S. operation and we are grateful at LLYC for his contribution last year," an LLYC spokeswoman said about his departure. "We hope to have good news on his replacement shortly, maybe at the end of the week."

Correcha-Price was the second CEO for LLYC. He was the replacement for comms veteran Mike Fernandez, who left to become SVP and chief communications officer for Calgary, Alberta-based energy infrastructure company Enbridge.

Before joining LLYC, Correcha-Price was GM for Edelman Colombia and Edelman Miami and led the agency’s Latin America public affairs practice.
