Macandrew joins the fast fashion, homewares and beauty retailer with a remit to develop a global corporate affairs team and strategy that “builds and protects long-term value in Primark”.
She joins the business' leadership team, working closely with its parent company, ABF, and is responsible for internal and external corporate communications at Primark.
Macandrew has been tasked with building a global corporate affairs team as Primark expands overseas.
She is an experienced corporate affairs leader. Having been at Thomas Cook from 2015 to 2019, Macandrew was previously a group director for corporate comms at Sky, has also led corporate comms at News Corporation, and was formerly a partner at financial PR agency Finsbury.
For the past year Macandrew has worked for Elisabeth Murdoch, leading on communications and strategy for Sister, the independent studio, and the Freelands Foundation.
