Signal AI hires Clancy Childs as chief product officer

Childs spent more than a decade working at Dow Jones and Google.

NEW YORK: Signal AI has appointed Clancy Childs as chief product officer.

Childs will report to CEO David Benigson and lead the development of Signal AI's product suite vision as the company expands into new markets and futhers the use of trainable AI.

Childs said he plans to take Signal AI's technology that supports PR and corporate communications use cases and apply it to other modern business decisions.

"Signal AI's platform is already pioneering a new way to support reputation and communications decision-making, and I look forward to taking that set of capabilities and putting it in the hands of all of the other potential users who can benefit from our unique decision augmentation technology," he said.

Childs has joined Signal AI from Dow Jones, where he led the company's professional information product suites as chief data officer, chief product and technology officer and, most recently, general manager of an innovation business unit.

Childs was also founding partner at data strategy firm Inderus and product manager for Google Analytics at Google. While at Google, he also worked on products including AdSense, Maps, Gmail and Checkout.
