The third annual conference will include presentations from comms leaders such as Massimiliano Di Domenico, vice-president, government affairs, at GlaxoSmithKline; Simon Enright, director of comms at NHS England and Improvement; and Emma Sergeant, president Europe DAS group of companies, Omnicom.
The new pharma and medical comms landscape will be the focus of the event, which will feature in-depth case studies, interactive panel discussions and keynote presentations from some of the world’s biggest pharma firms.
Di Domenico and Enright will explore the lessons learned from the response to the pandemic over the past year.
And Katie Banks, senior comms manager at Pfizer, will reveal how the race for a vaccine was won in record time.
The virtual conference will also feature discussions on the impact of Brexit on the pharma sector, and Duncan Harbor, senior vice-president, innovation, at Syneos Health, will explore how the past year has affected the approach to crisis comms.
David Flynn, head of PR at Roche, will present a session that explores how pharma professionals can obtain a clear and true understanding of the UK's different socio-demographic groups.
Other speakers at the conference will include Bhavin Vaid, head of corporate comms at Ferring Pharmaceuticals; David Humphreys, global head of policy at the Economist Intelligence Unit; Alaana Linney, commercial director, Bupa Health Services; Clara Makay, chief executive of the World Ovarian Cancer Coalition; and Alex Wyke, chief executive, Patient View.
