BOSTON: 360PR+ has hired George Snell as head of content innovation and integration, effective January 1.
The role is newly created and Snell is based in Boston. He reports to CEO Laura Tomasetti. In turn, he has 10 people in the digital and creative department reporting to him.
The agency created his role, Snell said, because clients need digital content, but also want to be sure they’re getting a good return on that investment.
“So, a smart distribution plan is a must,” Snell said. “No client wants to spend money on content that sits idle and doesn’t reach the people it was created for.”
360PR+ was attractive, Snell said, because he liked the staff and because the agency has a lot of consumer facing brands as clients that understand how content can work.
“The brands have really powerful stories,” Snell explained.
The agency counts ADT, America’s Test Kitchen, Nintendo of America, Sagamore Spirit and The Rockport Company among its clients.
Snell said one of his first tasks at the agency will be ensuring the content team is working in tandem with the rest of the agency.
“One of my goals is making sure we are completely integrated,” he said. “At a lot of agencies, the digital and creative arms are running on parallel but disparate tracks than the people on the account side.”
Snell had been consulting for a year prior to joining the agency, according to LinkedIn. He’s also worked at Racepoint Global, Matter Communications and served two stints at Weber Shandwick, most recently as that agency’s EVP of integrated media strategy.
