WE brings on Hannah Peters to lead corporate reputation, brand purpose growth

SEATTLE: WE Communications has hired Hannah Peters as EVP of corporate reputation and brand purpose.

She is responsible for expanding the agency's efforts in those two areas across employee engagement, public affairs and executive communications after starting in the role last week. Peters is reporting to Dawn Beauparlant, president of North America and chief client officer.

Peters said her goal in the new role is to further realize WE's immense opportunity as a purpose-driven company, partnering with clients to achieve business and reputation priorities in a way that helps build a better future. 

"Now more than ever, brands must define and authentically live their purpose in a way that has a positive impact on people and the planet," she said. "Companies are facing unprecedented challenges and opportunities and must effectively respond to stakeholder expectations around what they stand for and how they want to operate in the world." 

Peters has nearly two decades of industry experience, most recently at Hill+Knowlton Strategies as SVP, building and leading the firm’s Better Impact citizenship and sustainability practice. Previously, she was a director at Public Strategies in Austin, Texas. Public Strategies merged with fellow WPP agency Hill & Knowlton at the start of 2011 to form H+K Strategies.

WE has worked to help clients with brand purpose positioning via in its Brands in Motion global study and through its Path to Purpose methodology, among other areas.

WE’s 2019 revenue was up 13% to $143.5 million, according to PRWeek’s Agency Business report 2020.
