Michael Russell (pictured) joins in the former role from Citigate, where he was an associate director focused on investor relations.
Fatima Ismat joins as a consultant from Lansons, where she was an account director advising asset management clients. She previously worked at financial comms specialist Moorgate.
Their appointments follow September's announcement of a series of promotions and hires at the 20-strong agency, which focuses on reputation management for investment firms including private equity, hedge funds, activists, credit and real assets.
Managing partner Andrew Honnor said: “We are delighted to welcome Michael and Fatima to the team. They bring a wealth of financial services expertise that will enable the continued growth of the firm; we are seeing increasing demand from investment firms to use strategic communications to differentiate themselves in a competitive and often unpredictable market for fundraising, deals and talent.”
According to the Bloomberg Global Activism Advisory Rankings for 2020, Greenbrook advised on more activist investor campaigns in Europe that year than any other firm.
