SAN FRANCISCO: Brunswick Group has named Larry Yu as partner in its San Francisco office.

Yu, who is starting in the role on Monday, is focusing on technology clients and issues. He is reporting to the head of the San Francisco office, Ash Spiegelberg.

In a statement, the firm did not list clients that Yu will advise, but said he will counsel U.S. and global tech companies.

Yu was marketing partner at venture capital firm Accel, where he managed marketing and communications.

An Accel representative could not be reached for comment about Yu’s departure.

Previously, he was a partner at comms consultancy the Pramana Collective and head of corporate communications at Facebook. Yu has also worked at Google, MWWPR and Cisco.

Brunswick’s San Francisco office recently supported the IPOs of both DoorDash and Airbnb.

Brunswick posted 12% revenue growth in 2019 to $307 million, according to PRWeek’s Agency Business Report 2020.
