Manifest has opened an office in Australia to be led by managing director Isabel Thomson-Officer and creative director Jessie Bowers.

Fanclub PR has hired Camille Merrells as an account director. She previously worked for the agency on a part-time basis and was a senior commissioning editor at the European Business Review.

Powerscourt senior consultant Donjeta Miftari – one of PRWeek UK's 30 Under 30 for 2019 – has taken a role advising Kosovo’s Acting President, Vjosa Osmani-Sadriu, on international media strategy.

Black Sun has hired Leighton Barnish as sustainability communications director. He will consult on sustainability and ESG, and has previously worked at AstraZeneca and Syngenta.

The Academy has hired Rachel Watt as an account director. The food and drink specialist joins from Spider. Meanwhile, Chris Hides has formally started in his role as managing director of The Academy.

Charlotte Street Partners has promoted Sabina Kadic-Mackenzie to partner and hired Charlie Clegg as senior associate.

Tanya von Ahlefeldt, former group director of W20 and Nelson Mandela’s goddaughter, has been appointed senior director at Syneos Health Communications UK.

Peter Chipchase, long-time comms lead at Soho House, has joined fashion house Stella McCartney as its chief marketing officer, with a wide-ranging remit that includes comms.

US President-elect Joe Biden has named an all-female White House communications team for his incoming administration, with Kate Bedingfield and Jen Psaki in the key roles of communications director and White House press secretary, respectively.
