Carl Newns has left his job as director of comms at the Ministry of Defence and taken up a new role in the Cabinet Office as a director in the cross-government National Resilience Communications Hub.

Ranjeet Kaile has been appointed as the first ever board-level director of communications, stakeholder engagement and public affairs at South London and Maudsley NHS Foundation Trust.

Beattie has appointed Maryann Milne as a financial controller. She will join from Glasgow-based architectural firm 3DReid in February, and is Beattie’s 15th hire since August.

MSL UK has appointed Greta Knowles as an associate director. Knowles, who recently worked as a senior consultant at Blurred, will report to MSL UK managing director Jo Grierson. Knowles was hired following recent pitch wins, which includes a corporate and public affairs brief for Subway

Footwear company Hunter has appointed Claudia Plant as its chief marketing officer. She joins from Burberry, where she was senior vice-president of brand experience, and will be responsible for Hunter’s global marketing and communications strategy.
