Belle Baldoza, head of Southeast Asia, Hong Kong and Taiwan comms at Airbnb, has left the company after just over a year. She was previously the director of global comms at ByteDance and head of APAC consumer comms at Uber.
Baldoza has left Singapore, where she was based, and relocated to Toronto, Canada with her family. She is currently on the lookout for opportunities in Toronto, preferably within comms. "I'm taking some time to settle in but keen to still explore comms roles in the tech or the content space," she said.
In a LinkedIn post, she expressed gratefulness to serve as a storyteller for "five of the world's most disruptive tech companies". This refers to her past stints at Airbnb, ByteDance, Spotify, Netflix and Uber.
"I still can't believe how someone like me who didn't have a tech PR background had managed to carve out this journey," she said. "This would not have been possible without the support of people who bet on me and have extended to me their mentorship, guidance and friendship."
