Dare will be responsible for working on some of the agency's most prestigious accounts, including Procter & Gamble, as well as attracting and winning new business.
She will also become a member of Ketchum's Inclusion Council, which leads the agency's D&I agenda.
Dare most recently worked as head of brand strategy at Taylor Herring and brings more than 10 years of experience in consumer PR to her new job.
She previously held senior roles at Iris and Unity, where she was an associate director and spent more than seven years. Earlier in her career she worked at Burson Marsteller.
She will be reunited with head of consumer brand, Sophe Raine, who previously worked with Dare at Unity.
“Kat is one of our industry’s brightest minds – she’s as creative as she is strategic and has already made a big impact in a short space of time. I’m grateful she’s chosen Ketchum to further her career and she’ll be working on some of the agency's biggest and most prestigious accounts, including Procter & Gamble,” Raine said.
Dare said she was “honoured” to join Ketchum and work on “some enviable brands”.
“But deeper than this, I was blown away by the culture of the team, and the commitment to diversity and inclusion,” she added.
“This is an agency that does good work but also does good – and this year that's never been more important. I'm humbled to be part of Ketchum's journey and every day I spend with the team I’m even more excited.”
