DIARY: Hipwell just may live to regret a PRO's day yet

Former Daily Mirror City Slicker James Hipwell says he has 'done his time in the wilderness' on news last week of his departure from Max Clifford Associates.

After a three-year investigation into share dealing by the DTI, Hipwell is hoping to take the 'techniques' learned from Clifford into the aggressive world of M&A deals.

But the ex-hack may yet return to Fleet Street if his opinion on journalists-turned-PROs is anything to go by: 'Most journalists make lousy PR people.'
