Mathison launches Equal Hiring Index tool

The tool aims to help employers evaluate their DE&I efforts and boost diverse hires.

NEW YORK: Tech startup Mathison has developed the Equal Hiring Index, a diversity, equity and inclusion tool.

Named after the middle name of gay British scientist Alan Turing, Mathison's goal is increasing equal representation in the workforce by bridging the gap between underrepresented job seekers and employers committed to diversity and inclusion.

The Equal Hiring Index determines where a company stands on its DE&I journey and provides scores on hiring and retention that evaluate specific steps companies must take to boost diverse hires.

Used on an ongoing basis, the Index allows companies to update and improve their recruitment and retention, ending the excuse that it is "too hard to find" diverse candidates.

Over the last year, Mathison has helped more than 100,000 diverse candidates find the right employers, and more than 1.7 million job seekers are in the company’s platform.

Mathison’s clients include Accenture, which has the highest score on the EHI of any client, as well as Boehringer Ingelheim, Horizon Media and HelloFresh.
