SAN FRANCISCO: Brunswick is supporting communications for the planned IPOs of both DoorDash and Airbnb.
A DoorDash spokesperson said via email that Brunswick has been the company’s AOR for two years, working on corporate communications, thought leadership, crisis comms, financial communications and other areas.
In February, CNBC reported that the food-delivery company had confidentially filed an intent to go public with the Securities and Exchange Commission. That offering is set to take place before the end of the year, sources told Bloomberg.
Brunswick is working on the IPO from its New York and San Francisco offices, according to a source familiar with the situation. Brunswick partner Darren McDermott in New York and Ash Spiegelberg, partner and head of the agency’s San Francisco office, are managing the firm’s efforts. Brunswick declined to comment on the work.
In June, DoorDash said it had raised $400 million in a round of funding that valued the company at almost $16 billion.
Brunswick is also supporting the IPO of Airbnb, according to sources familiar with the work. The company also filed its intent to go public confidentially, however Reuters reported that the offering should be announced this week with plans to debut in December on the NASDAQ stock exchange.
In October, Reuters reported that the company wants to raise $3 billion and that it could end up being valued at more than $30 billion.
