The Cambridge-based UK division of the firm, which is headquartered in the US, is reviewing the account, currently handled by Beattie Media.
It is understood the firm has asked a number of PR agencies to pitch.
Check Point's US-based international PR manager Jennifer Davick confirmed the pitch was underway as part of an annual review of suppliers, but refused to comment further.
It is believed Beattie is taking part in the review.
Check Point is headed by chairman and chief executive Gil Shwed. The firm was launched in 1993 to provide online security solutions for internet and intranets using firewall software.
While Check Point is headquartered in Redwood City, California, it has international headquarters in Ramat Gan, near Tel Aviv, Israel, and operations worldwide, including the UK, Australia, France, Germany, Spain, Switzerland and Poland.
The Nasdaq-listed group opened its UK operation seven years ago, headed by northern Europe MD Steve Barnett.
Check Point followed the 1996 UK launch with the roll-out of further offices in France and Germany within the same year.
