Sandpiper launches health practice in Hong Kong

The consultancy expands its healthcare practice to support a growing list of clients in the sector.

The agency expands its healthcare footprint to support the its growing list of health clients, which include pharmaceutical groups, health insurers, health services groups, health analytics and telemedicine start-ups.

Jenny Jackson (pictured above)—who joins from Weber Shandwick—will lead the practice in Hong Kong. At Weber, she led strategic communications programmes and campaigns for pharmaceutical companies including stakeholder engagement for brand and reputation building, internal communications to drive cultural change, and employer branding to support talent acquisition.

She also brings to the table a strong understanding of international healthcare, regulatory and compliance environments and experience covering therapeutic areas including oncology, autoimmune disease, rare diseases, general surgery, women's health, HIV and hepatitis.

In September, the agency hired healthcare comms specialist Jean Angus in Singapore. Sandpiper's health team, led by Sarada Chellam and Saskia Kendall, specialises in strategic healthcare communications, patient advocacy and policy.
