People moves

The University of Florida College of Journalism and Communications has named Hub Brown dean. Brown is currently associate dean and associate professor at the Newhouse School of Public Communications at Syracuse University and starts in the new role next July, replacing Diane McFarlin, who is retiring.

The Glover Park Group has hired DaNita Murray as managing director of its food and agriculture practice. Murray had previously worked for the Senate Committee on Agriculture, Nutrition and Forestry as chief counsel and policy director of the committee.

Account wins

Global cannabis company Aphria has hired public relations firm Wye Communications.

PR firm Carve Communications has added four new clients: Brooklyn-based branded live content marketing platform First Tube Media; Columbus, Ohio-based OM System, which builds outbreak management software solutions for businesses; Miami-based auto parts online retailer PartsHawk; and the Port Washington, New York-based home turntable manufacturer Victrola.
