It comes as Lilium is gearing up to expand its regional air mobility technology across the world by 2025.
The zero-emissions Lilium Jet, which is powered by 36 electric engines, will be capable of traveling up to 300km in one hour and on one charge. The company plans to expand its on-demand air mobility vision to vertiports – the equivalent of airports or helipads for this type of electric vertical take-off and landing aircraft – across the world.
Bell brings more than 15 years of experience in global communications. She was most recently global head of comms at sportswear brand On, where she led the communications strategy for tennis star Roger Federer joining the team and subsequent launch of The Roger franchise.
Bell has previously had stints as comms and public affairs director at Starbucks EMEA and leading global comms at Accor-owned Onefinestay. Earlier in her career, she spent seven years in various roles at Edelman.
At Lilium, she will report to new chief operating officer Remo Gerber.

Bell added: “I have been following Lilium’s journey for some time, and have been consistently blown away by the progress the company has made. I’m hugely excited to be joining a phenomenal team after another significant year of development, and look forward to helping bring Lilium’s remarkable vision to life.”
Lilium recently celebrated its 500th hire and achieved ‘unicorn’ status this year with its latest funding round of more than $275m. The company is represented by London comms agency Rebecca Abigail.
