Taylor Herring will deliver a full press office service, influencer-led activations, creative collaborations and brand PR activations for the sandwich chain this autumn and throughout 2021.
It will activate a national and regional PR programme that aims to drive footfall, as well as a brand PR campaign focusing on a Gen-Z audience.
The "six-figure account" was awarded to the agency after a three-stage competitive pitch process run by Alex Young at AAR, who has been succeeded by Andrew Bloch.
The Subway UK account was previously held by Good Relations.
Subway, which operates a franchise model globally, has had a presence in the UK for 25 years. It currently has about 2,500 locations across the country.
The sandwich business recently overhauled its menu to allow customers to turn its sub fillings into either a salad or wrap. Next year it plans to expand its vegan offering.
Taylor Herring has a strong track record in the food and drink industry, having delivered award-winning work for Greggs, Just Eat and Coca-Cola.
The Subway account will be led by senior account director Claire Howes.
