PRWeek added three new categories this year for specific Coronavirus response campaigns, in which 50 per cent of the entry fee was donated to NHS Charities Together.
PRWeek’s sister award schemes - Campaign Big Awards and Media Week Awards - followed suit, meaning the three Haymarket Media Group titles raised around £40,000 for NHS Charities Together in total.
Owing to restrictions on physical events in the UK, the PRWeek Awards will be broadcast in a digital format this year at 4.30pm on Tuesday 27 October and Wednesday 28 October. The categories will be divided between the two afternoons.
There will be no charge to watch the awards but please register at www.prweek.com/prweekawards
“It’s very sad that we can’t gather at Grosvenor House as usual this year for the long established ‘Oscars’ of the PR and comms industry,” said Danny Rogers, editor-in-chief. “But we’ve put together an entertaining broadcast to announce the winners and to celebrate the sterling work over the past year. We’re also delighted that the Coronavirus-specific categories were a success and donated a substantial amount to the NHS and its patients.”
