Jon Harris, SVP and CCO of Conagra Brands, has been keeping busy during the pandemic with weekly basement music sessions and a wide variety of efforts by his Conagra team to provide for essential workers.
In this week’s Coffee Break with PRWeek’s editorial director Steve Barrett, Harris talks about the ways Conagra is supporting the restaurant industry and employees through the COVID-19 pandemic, and the food and financial donations it’s made within its community.
And while Conagra has been focused on the local community, it has also been working on supporting its larger audience, specifically by rebuilding the Mrs. Butterworth’s brand in light of the reawakening around racial injustice.
“Our goal is to delight and nourish our consumers,” Harris said. “So if there’s ever a situation where there’s a perception out there that is not making people feel good about our brand, well, we have to address it immediately.”
Harris also discussed Conagra’s practices to protect its employees through the pandemic, and the company’s updated D&I efforts.
