A key figure behind Rockstar’s Grand Theft Auto series, John Zurhellen, is working with The Kraken Rum to create Screamfest 4: The Kraken’s Revenge this Halloween.
Fans will be able to seize control of a human character in a desperate attempt to guide the tortured soul through a maze of difficulties and dangers to escape The Kraken’s arch-nemesis, The Balthazoid.
The online game will run from 28 October to 30 October with participants receiving The Kraken’s survival pack, which includes a game guide and the ingredients to make a rum cocktail.
Last year, The Kraken set up a cinematic, immersive bar, which was created by horror film director and producer Neil Marshall.
“The brief for Kraken Screamfest was simple: come up with a concept more terrifying and warped than anything 2020 has to offer. So, I delved deep into our primal fears – being hunted, tight spaces, dark shadows, hate-filled creatures,” Zurhellen said.
“I’m pretty confident I’ll deliver one of the most terrifying experiences to be seen in UK homes this year. On a personal note, I’m extremely honoured to pick up the baton where Neil Marshall left off, so rest assured Kraken fans, I will do your Mighty Beast proud.”
