NEW YORK: BCW has named Patricia Enright to the newly created role of chief people officer.
Enright starts in the position October 26 and reports directly to global CEO Donna Imperato. The agency would not disclose how many direct reports Enright will have.
In the position, Enright will lead all HR functions, including culture, diversity and inclusion, talent acquisition, development and retention, as well as training and coaching initiatives, according to an agency statement.
Imperato said it took the firm one year to find the right person for the role.
“It is a critical position that I personally handled previously in partnership with our strong people professionals globally and with our chief culture and chief inclusion officers,” she told PRWeek. “We didn’t need a traditional HR person. We wanted someone with real experience working with talent in data analytics, paid media, digital and content - and one who understands not only our people needs but also the needs of our clients.”
Prior to the creation of the chief people officer position, BCW relied on regional HR leaders and teams in all its regions, an agency spokeswoman said via email.
Before accepting the position, Enright was chief talent officer at Concentric Health Experience. Concentric could not be reached for this story.
She was also chief talent officer at Publicis USA for 14 years, was worldwide EVP of HR for DMB&B and senior partner, global director of HR for Ogilvy & Mather, according to the BCW statement.
BCW has also hired Kelly Yeager as chief of staff to Imperato. Prior to BCW, she was chief administrative officer at Ditech Holding Corporation, according to the BCW statement.
