Movers & Shakers: The Academy, WPP, Clarity, Fanclub, Media Zoo, Blurred and more

M&C Saatchi Talk managing director Chris Hides is leaving to join The Academy in the same role. Read more.

Hallam has made three hires to its senior management team as part of its strategic restructure. Siobhan Congreve, from Leeds and London-based agency Edit, will lead the digital specialist's content marketing team. Her predecessor, Kieran S-Lawler, has been promoted to head of marketing. Al Davies is the new head of creative, taking over from Joe Powell, who has been promoted to creative director.

WPP has hired David Henderson as its first global corporate affairs director with the aim of improving the firm’s reputation and highlighting its corporate purpose. Read more.

Reputation and communications advisory firm Nepean has appointed former chief executive of The FA, Martin Glenn, to its board as a non-executive advisor. Harry Roxburgh has been hired as a consultant. Glenn previously was previously CEO of United Biscuits, Birds Eye Iglo, and United Biscuits. Roxburgh has previously worked at Scott Prenn and C|T Group. 

Clarity has expanded into Europe to prepare for a “post-Brexit world” and restructured its leadership team, with Rachel Gilley promoted to EMEA president. Read more.

Blurred has strengthened its Environmental, Social, Governance and Purpose team with senior hires Anisha Vikram Shah (from Ketchum) and Stefan Colligan (Ogilvy). Read more.

Media Zoo has hired Giles Smith as its global services director. He joins from QA, where he specialised in delivering learning solutions to corporate clients. In his new role he will oversee the sales and marketing function and offer strategic insights to the business.

British Heart Foundation director of marketing and engagement Carolan Davidge is to leave the charity next March after overseeing the merger of its fundraising and marketing functions. Read more.
