Loulou Dundas is the new head of comms for the former professional footballer and his DB Ventures business. She joins from global entertainment, sports and lifestyle agency UEG, where she was the London-based director of EMEA, working with clients including BMW and Microsoft.

Dundas takes on most of the responsibilities of former chief marketing officer Isabel May, who left in January.

Meanwhile, Victoria Shires joins as PR manager from ITV, where she spent seven years in programme publicity, leading on press campaigns for shows including Britain’s Got Talent and Love Island. She replaces head of communications Bella Blenkinsopp, who left earlier this year to join TikTok.

Nicola Howson, director at DB Ventures, said: "Loulou and Victoria will manage all communication and marketing across David’s work with partners (including Adidas, Tudor, AIA), brands (DB Eyewear, Haig Club) and his philanthropy activities (7 Fund for UNICEF).

"With the momentum around the partners and new ventures like Inter Miami CF and Guild Esports, David’s business world is expanding and Loulou and Victoria will work alongside his social media, digital and partnership teams in the in-house global brand management operation that has been built since he established his independent management operation two years ago."

Dundas' former roles including working across the UK and US as head of PR, influencer and events at The&Partnership, and at PR agency Halpern, where her clients included UGG, Tiffany & Co and Milly. Shires previously spent two years at entertainment PR agency The Outside Organisation.

The appointments follow the establishment in 2019 of an independent brand, comms and commercial management structure for Beckham's business interests following the separation from his former business partner, XIX Entertainment.

Howson, a former chief executive of PR agency Freuds, oversees business operations and strategy at DB Ventures, alongside managing director David Gardner. She joined the business in 2018 and is also managing director of Studio 99, its content studio.
