An extremely exciting Five Campaigns We Liked in July contest was eventually won – with more than a third of the votes – by a thought-provoking video campaign for the Born Free Foundation, using Aardman animations to showcase the plight of animals in captivity.
In second place was a W Communications campaign featuring reality TV star Luke T in a spoof of the classic Old Spice ads – to plug Papa Johns' spicy pizza range.

Born Free Foundation – Creature Discomforts: Life in Lockdown
The charms of Aardman, the animation studio behind Wallace & Gromit, were used to great effect in this thought-provoking video for the Born Free Foundation.
The title is a play on Aardman's popular Creature Comforts series. Interviews with real people about life in lockdown were matched to animated wild animals who are held in captivity - drawing a parallel between the temporary struggles faced by humans and the animals' permanent trauma.
Engine is behind the campaign.
