Less than eight years after it was founded, Brooklyn, New York-based Praytell has won Agency of the Year at the PRWeek Awards U.S.
Praytell’s strong commitment to culture, substantial expansion — the firm saw double-digit growth as revenue grew to $21.6 million — and ferocious appetite to meet the changing needs of clients gained top marks from judges.
The award caps off a phenomenal period of growth for the agency. On the culture front, Praytell’s staff grew 41% to 150 employees. It invested in new office spaces in four cities and made significant improvements to its Brooklyn HQ.
Not to mention, it graced the cover of PRWeek’s Best Places to Work print issue this year and was named to the list for an unprecedented sixth straight year. Praytell went a step above with employee perks including new offerings such as fertility benefits to support growing families. It piloted a sabbatical program that will fully roll out in 2020, which aims to encourage employees to stay for the long term.
On the business side, Praytell, also the winner of Outstanding Midsize Agency, grew 31%, the firm’s sixth consecutive year of double-digit revenue growth.
Honorable Mention went to Weber Shandwick, winner of Outstanding Large Agency. Precision, winner of Outstanding Small Agency, and SourceCode Communications, the year’s Outstanding Boutique Agency, were finalists.
Axis was the winner of Outstanding In-House Team, and Chipotle Mexican Grill was Honorable Mention. Finalists were Aflac, AMD and Anheuser-Busch InBev.
