After cutting her teeth in the agency world at stalwarts Marina Maher Communications, Edelman and Cohn & Wolfe, Kim Montagnino joined Johnson & Johnson in 2016.

In only four years she has advanced to senior director, global corporate media relations, where she serves as one of only two official Johnson & Johnson spokespeople for the corporation. She is the youngest person to ever hold this position.

Montagnino’s work spans an impressive gamut of experiences, from being part of the war room onsite at GE HQ as the company navigated the Fukushima nuclear disaster, to driving influencer and celebrity programming, to raising awareness of Banana Boat Sunscreen, restoring the brand’s leadership position in the category.

She has also helped lead pharmaceutical clients through four FDA Advisory Committee hearings and develop a strategic communications plan around innovation in Acuvue contact lenses, notably securing a place on Time’s Best Inventions of 2018 for Acuvue Oasys with Transitions.

But most impressive has been how Montagnino increased the capability and capacity of her teams to do media relations and issues management. She understands the rapidly evolving 24/7 world we now live in and pushes the status quo to ensure the work she does stands out and breaks through. She is relentless in her pursuit of being the best and has driven every client, brand and team she works with to be the best as well.
