Chris Legentil joined DAZN in June 2018 to craft and control the narrative of a newcomer to the sports media landscape that many doubted would be able to make significant traction.

In under 12 months he helped position the streaming platform as a major player and must-have for boxing and other combat sports fans and a contender for premium sports rights in North America.

Legentil has been with DAZN from its U.S. launch through its rise to success, leveraging a strategic multichannel program that regularly inserted DAZN at the forefront of the mainstream sports conversation.

He acted as a critical function in developing a narrative that resonated with fight fans and helped DAZN identify as a true disruptor in sports media through its biggest moments, such as its unprecedented Fight Season campaign.

For boxing documentary One Night: Joshua vs. Ruiz, Legentil helped achieve more than 3 million views on YouTube alone in its first 48 hours live. The amplification of the film also drove fans to the DAZN platform just in time for the rematch, which ultimately became one of DAZN’s most-streamed events of 2019, generating more than 1 million streams.

Additionally, when DAZN decided to host a rematch between YouTube stars KSI and Logan Paul, Legentil helped the platform engage a different demographic and uncover the boxing fans of tomorrow — enabling DAZN to tap into a wholly new subscriber base.
