Meredith Katz, EVP, Public Affairs & Crisis at BCW, leads the agency’s work for the 2020 Census communications campaign.
It’s part of a $500 million integrated communications contract with sister WPP firm VMLY&R that includes managing a staff of more than 25 full-time employees and contractors whose expertise includes strategic communications, media relations, editorial content development, event planning and crisis management.
The account is one of the few clients at any agency where the goal is to reach every person in the U.S. — a monumental challenge that takes years of planning and an army of people to execute, relying on advertising and public relations to get the word out.
Before taking on this significant role, Katz served as chief of staff and director of strategy for BCW’s U.S. CEO, helping develop and implement strategies and materials related to new business, internal communications and employee engagement.
Prior to that she worked as a director for worldwide headquarters, where she led strategic initiatives related to improving the agency’s brand positioning and corporate culture.
Katz produces and delivers some of the best work at BCW, and is known for always putting her team and client needs above her own. Her penchant for empowering teams and individuals has helped create a culture of responsibility, where each individual treats everyone else with fairness, kindness and respect.
A consummate professional, Katz brings an innate sense of balance, empathy, lightness and a sense of humor to every situation.
