UPS promotes Laura Lane to new C-level role leading comms, corporate affairs

Lane has worked at the company since 2012.

ATLANTA: UPS has promoted Laura Lane to chief corporate affairs and communications officer, a newly created position. 

Lane will report directly to CEO Carol Tomé and join the company’s executive leadership team. Lane will oversee public policy and government affairs, PR, employee communications and the UPS Foundation, according to a statement from UPS.

Lane was not immediately available for additional comment about her new role.

She joined UPS in 2012 as president of global public affairs

Before working at UPS, Lane was MD and head of international government affairs at Citigroup, VP of global public policy at Time Warner and served in the U.S. Foreign Service for seven years.

UPS is a package delivery and supply chain management company. It is headquartered in Atlanta and serves more than 220 countries and territories worldwide. In 2019, its revenue was $74 billion.
