Pantello (above) joins Syneos, which was ranked second in this year’s PRWeek UK Top 150 healthcare comms rankings, from professional services giant PwC, where he was a managing director.

Earlier in his career, Pantello worked for Havas Life as vice-president and was managing director of Digitas Health.

Syneos described Pantello as a “versatile executive”, with experience across strategy, marketing and technology.

He reports to Michelle Keefe, president, Syneos Health Commercial Solutions.

Dorrian, meanwhile, who joins Syneos from management consultancy business Nairrod, has 30 years’ experience across in-house and agency roles in health.

At the start of his career, Dorrian worked for Leo Pharma and Bayer before moving into healthcare advertising with Scholz and then later with Ogilvy, DDB and Grey Health Group.

Commenting on Pantello’s appointment, Keefe said: “Now more than ever, customers are relying on strategic communications to navigate unchartered challenges. Tim’s expertise, combining consulting methodologies and pioneering communications practices, is getting our customers faster to what matters.”

Lisa Stockman, president of Syneos Health Communications, and Jeanine O’Kane, president of the U.S. PR group, will continue to oversee the network’s portfolio of PR agencies and work closely with Dorrian and Tender, the firm said.
