NEW YORK: Rapper, musician and entrepreneur Yo Gotti has hired Berk Communications as his global PR agency.
Berk had been handling PR projects for the entertainer through his management team at entertainment company Roc Nation, but was formally hired by Gotti at the start of this month, according to an agency spokesperson.
Berk will manage Gotti’s efforts as a music industry executive, entrepreneur and criminal justice advocate. Berk senior director of music and entertainment Didier Morais is leading a team of three people working on Gotti’s account.
Gotti had not worked with a PR shop. Instead, his PR was managed by his former record label, Epic Records, the spokesperson said.
Hip-hop artist Gotti has released hit studio albums, mixtapes and singles and has worked with Kanye West, Nicki Minaj, Megan Thee Stallion, J. Cole, Meek Mill and DJ Khaled, among others.
Berk also handles publicity for 42 Dugg, an artist signed to Gotti’s music label, CMG, which also represents Moneybagg Yo, Blac Youngsta and Blocboy JB. Gotti also owns Memphis eatery Privé Restaurant.
