SIAL hires shop to attract business users to its flights

Swiss International Air Lines has appointed Flagship Consulting to attract business users onto their flights from the UK to Switzerland.

Flagship's remit will involve the promotion of SIAL's first anniversary since combining the services of bankrupt international carrier Swissair with regional airline Crossair in March last year.

The agency won the account in a five-way pitch that included Emerald Media, the ten-year incumbent at Crossair.

The year-long contract will focus on businesses with Anglo-Swiss interests, promoting travel from Manchester, Birmingham and London City airports.

Grafton-Grattan said travel journalists would become key during the ski season next year: 'We won't be ignoring leisure travellers but we are targeting higher spend travellers particularly.'
