Ten years ago, Manifest consisted of Myers and a second-hand laptop in his living room. Today, it’s a leader in consumer PR, thanks to an ultra-creative focus on ground-breaking innovations and ethical foundations.
Nowhere is Myers’ creativity more obvious than in his work with craft brewery BrewDog. Since he met the founders in 2010, the business has gone from a handful of brewers and a dog, to one of the fastest-growing drinks brands on the planet.
It was the first consumer business to be named in the London Times Fast Track 100 using only Manifest for external communications, and is the only business ever to be included in the list for five years running. In January 2020, Myers’ multiple award-winning work for the brewery was named the Disruptor Brand of the Decade by PRWeek UK.
Myers regularly lectures on creativity at universities, encouraging students to adopt a purpose-led approach to branding, and he has mentored numerous startup agencies with the same perspective.
His teachings are directly aligned with his actions: Manifest was early in introducing equal parental leave, therapy as a company benefit, a group-wide profit share scheme, a head of diversity and inclusion, and a chief technology officer and chief happiness officer. Many others have since followed in Manifest’s footsteps, helping to chip away at issues that have blighted the PR industry.
