INTERNATIONAL: Blackie McDonald hires Cameron as Sydney manager

SYDNEY: Blackie McDonald has appointed Stuart Cameron to the newly created role of general manager of the consultancy's Sydney headquarters and web development arm Guava Interactive.

Cameron has been involved in several new media start-ups, most recently as chief technology officer at convergent media company rushTV, which he co-founded in 1999 and has since closed down.

At rushTV, he managed external and internal infrastructure and content management for the portal and website.

Blackie McDonald managing director Tony Blackie said having a general manager on board meant he could dedicate more time to consulting and working with clients on strategic development.

Cameron will oversee operations in business, finance and human resources, and play a key role in acquiring new business.

He will also continue as an IT analyst for ABC Radio's weekly programme NetNews.
