DIARY: Campbell and Ms Dynamite have lots in common

Downing Street communications and strategy director Alastair Campbell is doing a grand job boosting his own profile among Britain's ethnic minority communities.

Just days after he was revealed as keynote speaker at the annual Race in the Media Awards in April, The Sun proclaimed him a fan of singer/songwriter Ms Dynamite, who won three MOBO awards last year.

The source of the story, unsurprisingly, was Campbell himself at a dinner with Sun showbiz editor Dominic Mohan.

Richard Dawes, PRO at her record label Polydor, is delighted with Campbell's new musical direction and even hinted that free concert tickets could be arranged.

Ms Dynamite, who has said she would, 'love to go into politics', would surely be keen to meet her newest fan to discuss their obvious mutual interests.
